LOC APPRECIATION DAY 2014 (L.A.D) - How We Loc'd it Down!

Loc Appreciation Day (L.A.D) is an initiative of a fine youtuber  called Qochemist conceived in 2011. L.A.D is simply a day set aside to appreciate locs.  L.A.D is celebrated every 4th Saturday in June. It serves as an opportunity for Loc Heads to share in on their hair journeys, maintenance tips, find the right products for locs and most of all celebrate their crowns.

L.A.D 2014 will be the fourth year anniversary of this initiative and Locitude hosted a meet up in Lagos, Nigeria.    Loc Heads in London, Boston, New York, Altanta and Conneticut  also met up, it was a  worldwide event. The Lagos event held on the 28th of June, 2014 at ‘A white Space’, Raymond Njoku, Off Awolowo Road.   It was a well attended event. Your’s truly was there.
Locitude is Nigeria's first Blog for Loc Heads. The editor is Ade Balogun, a fine writer and loc head. If you already have locs or you are thinking of starting one, do visit her blog: http://locitude.blogspot.com for very helpful tips on how to start and maintain your locs.
If you are already an ‘all natural hair’ person, you can get vital information to help maintain your hair well on these sites too: www.thekinkyapothecary.blogspot.com and www.africanaturalistas.com
Below is a picture tale of the event. Well, I took the pictures myself. Pardon me please, I am still touching up my photography skills.
